What is an affiliate program?

An affiliate program is a great way for a website owner to make some money while promoting our website.  By hosting our banner or text link, you in essence become a 'marketer' for our website (this is called affiliate marketing).  Your payment for your promotion is a commission check written when we receive sales through your website links.

How/When do I get paid?

You are paid on the agreed commission percentage of shipped sales by the 20th of the following month.  This commission percentage will appear in your acceptance email.  You are paid by check to the name and address you supply in your online application. 

Please note: Some items that may be purchased through your affiliate program are Pre Orders.  Because we do not charge a customer until the item is available and shipped, you will not receive a commission until there is an actual charge on the customer's credit card.

How do I see the sales generated through my link?

At this time tracking is not available to our publishers.  You cannot track the number of sales generated through your affiliate account.  Your only gauge is the amount of money you earn on your checks.  If you have no sales for that period, you will not receive a check.

How can I improve my commissions?

Do I need a login and password?

No.  Because tracking is not available for our publishers, there is no need for a login or password.  You simply set up your links, and wait for the checks to arrive.

What is the cost for the Brickel's Affiliate Program?

There is no cost to you - only commission.  Affiliate marketing is pretty much a win-win situation for you, the affiliate marketer, and Brickel's Racing Collectibles.

Yes - there are some banners available here.

Can I create my own banner or links?

Yes - please take care to create banners that do not violate your agreement, and keep them free from any kind of misleading or manipulative text.  Tricking a visitor into coming to our site violates the agreement and will result in a cancellation of your account.

How can I get more clicks through my ad?

Optimizing your ad is the key to higher commissions.  Placing your ad clearly in a well traveled area is a great start.

Also, adding some text to your ad is another useful technique (and makes it much more appealing to search engines.

If you just use banners for your affiliate program, adding keywords to your 'alt' tags helps the search engines find your site.
