Tony Stewart Racing driver Steve Kinser, along with teammate Donny Schatz, ran a special gold paint scheme in the 2010 running of the Knoxville Nationals. The special paint commemorated the 50th running of the biggest sprint car race of the year. Kinser's race, however, ended in disappointment, dropping out of the race on the 31st lap after fighting his way to third place. Kinser was credited with a 22nd place finish.
